Top 5 Food and Drink Apps in Portugal Q3 2024 Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the top food and drink applications in Portugal demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into their trends.

McDonald’s - Non-US saw an interesting fluctuation in its weekly downloads. Starting the quarter with around 10K downloads, it peaked at approximately 17K in early July, before experiencing a dip and then rising again to about 15K in mid-September. Active users showed a general decline from about 267K in early July to around 222K by the end of September, with a slight increase observed in early September.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste exhibited a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from nearly 7K in early July and reaching over 10K by the end of September. The app's active users also saw a consistent upward trend, growing from approximately 155K in early July to nearly 190K by the end of the quarter.

TheFork - Restaurant bookings experienced a peak in downloads in mid-August with over 10K downloads, but this number gradually declined to around 6K by the end of September. The active user base maintained a relatively steady level, fluctuating slightly around 33K to 38K throughout the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery downloads remained fairly stable, ranging from about 6K to 8K weekly. The app's active users showed a positive trend, increasing from approximately 358K at the beginning of July to around 376K by the end of September.

Lastly, Bolt Food downloads started at around 6.5K in early July, experienced some decline mid-quarter, and rebounded to nearly 6K by the end of September. Active users hovered between 63K and 68K, with some fluctuations throughout the quarter.
